 Abstract:  The Jay Rochlin oral history project audio cassettes measure 1 linear foot and contain oral histories conducted by Rochlin with 16 African-American and 31 Mexican-American University of Arizona alumni and alumnae recorded on 58 compact audio cassettes. The collection consists of audio interviews, correspondence, oral history transcripts, and research files. These oral histories were collected by Jay Rochlin as research data for his 1995 Higher Education Ph.D dissertation: Conversations with Ricardo's daughter: The minority experience at the University of Arizona between 1925 and 1994 from a critical race theory perspective. The dissertation was later published under the title Race and Class on Campus: Conversations with Ricardo’s Daughter by the University of Arizona Press in 1997.

 Abstract:  This collection contains materials documenting the Riggs pioneer family history from the time Brannick Riggs married Mary Elizabeth Robbins in Texas in 1856, their first wagon train move to Colorado in 1871, and several years later relocating again to southeastern Arizona, arriving and settling in Sulphur Springs Valley in 1879. Their eighth child, John Casey Riggs (1874-1943), was the family’s historian and creator of the bulk of the papers. The collection includes Our El Dorado, a biographical book written by John C. Riggs and his daughter, Jeanette Riggs Roll. Also included in the collection are biographical manuscripts; diaries and journals; business and personal correspondence; business records and ledgers; printed materials, including pamphlets, catalogs, newspapers and clippings; homestead land and mine patents; political papers of John Casey Riggs; maps; and photographs and negatives.

Fleming Papers consist primarily of correspondence, grant applications, notes, drawings, photographs, articles, promotional items, technical documentation, and other materials showing Fleming's work to establish, maintain, and expand the Arizona Street Railway Museum, including acquiring and restoring three trolley cars (#44, #116, and #504) that ran on the Phoenix Street Railway. Also included are materials documenting Fleming's service to the Arizona Historical Society's Central Arizona Chapter, research on the Fleming and Coyne families, and work with the Central Arizona Air Museum.  Abstract:  The Andrew Wallace Papers collection contains microfilm and photocopies of the diaries of General August Valentine Kautz, written between 1859 and 1894, as well as related materials such as 30 rolls of microfilm of official U.S. Army documents at various Arizona army posts. These include Fort Whipple, Camp Lincoln, Fort Verde, etc. - all pertaining to the career of General Kautz. In addition, the collection contains research materials related to the Sitgreaves Expedition (1851), the Amiel Weeks Whipple Expedition (1853-1854) and the Joseph Christmas Ives Expedition (1857-1858). In the collection there are a variety of maps, journals, illustrations, scholarly articles, biographical sources and genealogical materials. All resources were copied, composed or collected by the donor, Andrew Wallace between 1963 and 1984.
