Biographical NoteJames Braun graduated from Van Nuys High School and attended San Fernando Valley State College before joining the US Air Force. He was a member of the 1st Infantry Division and served from 1964-1967. He returned from Vietnam in 1968 and married Sue Zanne Garner of Chatsworth on June 30, 1968. Scope and Content NoteThis collection consists of letters written by Lt. James A. Braun to his family while he was serving in the Vietnam War. A majority of the letters were written by Braun and sent to his parents, although a few letters from friends and to other individuals are also housed in the collection.
