Biographical NotePeter Lindemann was born in Flagstaff on September 9, 1917. He served as the town's mayor and sat on the City Council. He became a local dentist and was elected as Mayor in 1954 and denied the nomination for reelection in 1956. He served on the City Council for seven years total, his first term beginning in 1934 and his final term ending in 1966. He was also very active the in the Elk and Rotary Club. He was honored in 1981 for his support in establishing the Coconino Center of the Arts and remained an active member of the community until his death in 2001. Scope and ContentThe Peter Lindemann Collection contains two scrapbooks of newspaper clippings pertaining to Dr. Lindemann's career when he served as Flagstaff's Mayor and on Flagstaff City Council.
