Biographical Note
This collection contains newsletters, correspondence, and organization materials related to
the B'nai B'rith in Tucson, Arizona. B'nai B'rith is a Jewish service organization
originally founded in New York City in 1843. Additional lodges soon spanned the United
States, including a location in Tucson. The organization is best known for its work as a
Jewish humanitarian organization that advocated for human rights, and for protecting Jewish
peoples, rights, and religious freedoms.
Scope and Content Note
Materials in this collection include newsletters, reunion information, certificates,
correspondence, speeches, meeting minutes, photographs, and newspaper clippings related to
B'nai B'rith in Tucson. There are also lodge booklets and a few telephone directories. The
materials within this collection were donated by the Jewish Historical Society of San Diego.
Materials are arranged alphabetically by title.
