Carlos Trujillo was born on January 19, 1906, and resided on the south side of Flagstaff during the 1930s with his wife Agapita Encinias. At one point, Carlos Trujillo lived in the Tourist Home on South San Francisco Street in Flagstaff. The contents of the collection were discovered at the Tourist Home; this may have been Mr. Trujillo’s final residence.
The collection reflects Carlos Trujillo’s employment as a laborer and as a member of a workers’ union. The collection contains pay stubs, a life insurance policy, residential rental receipts, automobile documentation, war rations, post box rental receipts, correspondence and some religious mementos. Included in the collection are 44 photographs; some are identified. The inclusive dates of the collection are 1920-1973, with bulk dates of 1937-1947.
