The items were primarily collected during Castro’s time as both an American ambassador to El Salvador, Bolivia, Argentina and Governor of Arizona. The material was donated by Beth Castro, one of Castro’s daughters.

Also included are a few family photographs showing Thirza (Vail) Garvey and Daniel Garvey Jr.
