Also includes a voter registration list of Greenlee County, 1922.

 Abstract:  One of three extant copies of a seven-page typescript report. It describes the covered bridge at French's Mill, N.Y., which was built in 1866. Contains eight mounted and labeled photographs; they depict different views and construction aspects of the bridge, both before and after the roof and side covering was removed. Blueprints drawn by Paulsen, letters, and a newspaper clipping are located in a back pocket.

 Abstract:  Allan Radbourne was a writer and historian. In addition to numerous journal and magazine articles about Western history, he published an acclaimed biography of Apache Scout Mickey Free in 2005 called Mickey Free: Apache captive, interpreter, and Indian Scout. Later in life he began writing about the early cinema, with a history of silent movies titled The Silent Mountie Movies-1910-1930 published posthumously in 2021. The Allan Radbourne collection consists of 7 series of records, notes, photographs, articles, transcriptions, presentations and other reference materials related to Southwestern Frontier and Borderlands History circa 1800's and early 1900's created by Allan Radbourne. Inclusive dates reflect the original date of the primary source material if available or if it is transcribed from an original source material. Born digital material found on a flash drive can be found in Series V.

 Abstract:  Typescript about the archaeology of early native peoples in the southwest region of Texas and across the border into Coahuila, Mexico. Martin describes a culture, also referred to as Toboso, that he has named the Big Bend Basket-Makers, because of similarities with the Basket Makers of Arizona and New Mexico. He discusses linguistic groups and migrations, as well as diagnostic traits related to skull shape, textiles, baskets, cloud-blowers, and projectile points. Photographs of a map and projectile points are attached.

 Abstract:  Correspondence, research materials, published and unpublished manuscripts and articles, slides, photographs, and one audio tape, primarily from 1943 to 1957, of anthropologist George C. Barker. The collection documents Barker's anthropological research into folk drama and ritual, the social functions of language, the Pachuco language of Hispanic youths, and Yaqui Indian culture and customs. A 1964 gift to the Southwest Folklore Archives from George C. Barker, Sr. Deaccessioned from the collection in 1993 were approximately 0.2 feet of duplicates and items of a personal nature. In 1996 two 11 x 14 black-and-white photographs by Alfred A. Cohn were transferred to the L. Marguerite Collier Collection, Southwest Folklore Center Manuscripts Collection MS 611. This collection is part of the Southwest Folklore Center collection. The Southwest Folklore Center was founded in 1979 after the dissolution of the University of Arizona Folklore Committee and collected information about folk communities, arts, music, and other humanities-related materials. This collection was previously SWF 004. The materials were transferred to Special Collections in 2017.
