Abstract: | This collection consists primarily of photographs documenting the construction of the Arizona Eastern Railroad, including bridges, track, and buildings along the lines from Picacho (Cholla Mountain) to Chandler and from Calva to Pierdot. Most of these images show bridges, including the Gila River, Agua Fria, and San Carlos River bridges. Also included are images of Coolidge Dam taken when the Calva to Peridot line was moved due to the construction of the Coolidge Dam Reservoir and photographs of the residence of James B. Kitch, Indian Agent on the San Carlos Indian Reservation. | ||
