The collection includes the records of Platt Cline's life,
from his early school days to correspondence throughout his life both personal and
professional along with research for his books and personal and business documents, maps
and photographs.
This collection is organized into two subgroups: personal and
family papers from 1868 to 1927, most of which date from the late 1880s, and
business records from the late 1880s to 1925. Most of the personal and family
papers consist of clippings and invitations relating to the Deftys' musical
interests, but also include a few family photographs and two
diaries.
