 Abstract:  Papers, 1922-1970. This collection contains the papers of H. Merle Cochran. The bulk of the material is comprised of documents relating to Cochran's professional activities, including: his various posts in the U.S. Foreign Service (1914-1953), his role as deputy managing director of the International Monetary Fund (1953-1962), and his service as chairman of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (O.E.C.D.) Consortium for Greece. Also included in the collection are photographs, mostly depicting official travel and social activities from the span of Cochran's career.
