 Abstract:  The Movie Press Kit Collection contains over 2,000 press kits for films released from 1962 to 2003 for mostly American films; about five percent are foreign films re-released in America. A press kit is a collection of publicity materials specifically sent out to members of the media to better promote a film. Included is publicity for films categorized as comedies, independents, documentaries, some re-releases, sequels, horror, action, musicals, adaptations, children's entertainment, animated, and dramas. Most contain a list of cast and crew, biographies/profiles, interviews with actors and directors, black and white publicity photographs, synopses, production notes, and announcement stories. Some have newspaper and journal articles and reviews, screening invitations, original artwork, and film critics' handwritten notes that were added by the donor. The collection is divided into two series.

Among the subjects covered are the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, the Committee on Appropriations, the national budget, national resources, national parks, the Democratic Caucus, trade relations with China, and the impeachment proceedings against President Clinton.  Abstract:  This collection consists primarily of materials documenting Eduardo M. Delci's involvement with Hispanic issues and advocacy groups including Arizona State University's M.E.Ch.A. chapter, the Arizona Association of Chicanos for Higher Education, immigration sweeps in Chandler, and Chicano Movement conferences and events. Also included are materials showing Delci's work at ASU and his interest in primary education and drama in education.  Abstract:  This collection consists of Ralph Johnson Colwell's papers, a majority of which pertain to his work with Up with People in the years he was employed as Director of Show Productions and later as Director of TV and Video productions. In 1965 Colwell, with his brother Paul, wrote the song "Up with People". They, with a third brother Steve, performed with the first Up with People cast, continued to write songs, and are among the musical founders of the program. The collection includes administrative files, show creation and production records, performance materials, event and performance scripts, photographic materials, audiovisual materials and event recordings, oversize awards, and some post-Up with People materials. Items are arranged into series and then arranged alphabetically.

 Abstract:  Black Sparrow Press was a small independent publishing house focused on avant-garde literature. Produced by John and Barbara Martin, with the help of typographer and printer Graham Mackintosh, the Press was responsible for drawing attention to Charles Bukowski and his literary work. Each published title includes correspondence from authors, layout matter and artwork, ephemera, photographs, manuscripts, proofs, and first editions. Black Sparrow Press published a number of American and English authors including Diane Wakoski, Joyce Carol Oates, Robert Creeley, Charles Olson, John Fante, Gerard Malanga, Wanda Coleman, and acquired publication rights for Wyndham Lewis and D. H. Lawrence.
