 Abstract:  Scrapbook contains syndicated political and editorial cartoons from various newspapers and magazines, concentrating on U.S. presidential campaigns and politics of the 1920s and 1930s. Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover, and Alfred "Al" Smith are all caricatured. Also includes some material on World War I, World War II, and international political figures such as Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini.

 Abstract:  Nineteen artists are represented, including Jay N. "Ding" Darling of the Des Moines Register, Daniel R. Fitzpatrick of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Reg Manning of the Phoenix Republic and Gazette, George T. Maxwell of the Wilmington, Delaware Journal, and William H. Summers of the Cleveland News. Original drawings of political cartoons. Some are inscribed to the University of Arizona, Esther Payne, or William Frederic Stevens. Many cartoons relate to the New Deal, political parties, and national and world events.

 Abstract:  Collection contains one scrapbook containing New York Herald Tribune newspaper clippings, chiefly from the cartoon series "When a Feller needs a Friend" and "The Days of Real Sport" by Clare Briggs. These cartoons often depict his recollections of small-town boyhood life in Wisconsin. They are portrayed in a single panel format with descriptive subtitles.

 Abstract:  This collection includes over 750 of Holme's original drawings and etchings, 142 reproductions, 134 original drawings by students and associates, and all nine Bandar Log Press books; as well as correspondence, photographs, news clippings, and articles relating to the School of Illustration and the Bandar Log Press. In addition to Holme, authors of the Bandar Log Press books are Charles Dryden, William Robinson, Kirke La Shelle, and George Ade. Holme's drawings are illustrations for news stories, including coverage of the 1897 Luetgert trial and the 1893 World Columbian Exposition; drawings of people, theatrical performances, "life and times" scenes of the 1890s; political events and politicians, including coverage of the 1896 Democratic presidential convention, and political cartoons.
