 Abstract:  The Hazeltine Family held a prominent place in the Prescott area in its early years, particularly in the banking business. This collection contains family photographs, love letters, Sherman Hazeltine’s papers, and the Cornucopia Mining Company Ledgers. The love letters are personal and intimate letters from Kathleen Koiner to John (also known as Jack) Hazeltine while they were courting during their college days. Records range from the early 1880’s to the 1950’s including some early records that Moses Hazeltine kept while Arizona was a territory.

She lived with the Slaughters at their San Bernadino Ranch until her accidental death in 1900. Photographs are of Apache May at various ages, some with Viola Slaughter.
