 Abstract:  The Arizona Bureau of Mines, now the Arizona Geological Survey, was founded in 1883 by the Arizona legislature as the Office of the Territorial Geologist. Since its founding, the Arizona Geological Survey has been several Territorial and State Geologic Agencies, including the Arizona Bureau of Mines from 1915 to 1977. In 1893, the University of Arizona acquired the role of geologic mapping and reporting and still maintains this mission with the Arizona Geological Survey. This collection contains three production data logs from the Arizona Bureau of Mines with information about the production of copper, gold, lead, silver, and zinc in Arizona counties from 1858 to 1977.

Includes blueprints of maps, time books and expense accounts, and photographs of Clarkston and the Ajo Mining District. Also present are family photographs, subscription lists of Clarkston inhabitants, and account books for rental properties.
