 Abstract:  The Old Abe mine, in White Oaks, New Mexico, produced a million dollars worth of gold from one of the deepest dry mines in the world. Its true vein was discovered in 1890 by William Watson, who shared ownership with seven other people, named in the back of the book. One volume, lists dividends, expenses and receipts from 1890-1891. It is accompanied by photocopies of five articles from the Lincoln County (N.M.) News, from 1956-1958, relating the history of the mine and the area.

Also includes materials written by Gittings and others relating to the Department of Physical Education for Women; as well as a history of physical education legislation in Arizona. Information on the Ina E. Gittings building on the University of Arizona campus is also present.
