 Abstract:  The Genevieve Moore Papers consist of correspondence and research files that Moore compiled in her capacity as editor of Pay Dirt magazine and The Mining Journal. These files contain extensive information on federal regulations relating to mining operations including labor, mine safety, monetary policy, environmental protection, use of public lands, taxation, and trade policy. Although the papers extend from 1912 to 1971, the bulk of the collection concerns federal regulations and corporate management of mining operations in the Southwestern United States from 1945 to 1970.

 Abstract:  This collection includes photo postcards and an original exhibit of postcards, covers and correspondence relating to the border disturbances in and around Columbus, New Mexico and Arizona during the Mexican Revolution. The letters (dated 1914-1915) are written by T.W. Eiler, 13th Cavalry, to his aunt Nora Altwater in Newport, Ohio. He mentions disturbances in Naco and Douglas Arizona, as well as those in New Mexico.

 Abstract:  Samuel Clark, born in 1871, was the founder of Clarkston, Ariz. Operated mining properties in Ajo and Clarkston (later called Rowood) beginning in 1907. Laid out townsite of Clarkston in 1916. The collection includes mining papers, account books, records of leases, scrapbook of photographs and newspaper clippings, and other business and personal papers. Includes blueprints of maps, time books and expense accounts, and photographs of Clarkston and the Ajo Mining District. Also present are family photographs, subscription lists of Clarkston inhabitants, and account books for rental properties.

The collection contains research materials such as field notes, diaries, correspondence, and reports, along with photographic materials concerning these rural locations. Personal materials in the collection from Hatch, and his wife Emily Hatch, include bibliographic and biographic materials, correspondence, publicly files, and photographs. Audio and visual materials in the collection include movies created by Hatch in movie reel and DVD format and talks given by Hatch in record and CD format.
