 Abstract:  This collection is comprised of the published poetic works of Simon Pettet, an English-born poet who has been living and working in New York's Lower East Side since 1977. The bulk of the material are poems that were published in literary journals between 1975-2019, and reference Pettet's association with the New York School - a mid-century American group of poets and painters who lived and worked in downtown Manhattan in the 1950's and 1960's. Items included in the collection are literary journals, Arts magazines, Arts newsletters, literary reviews, two Chinese edition book volumes covering 20th century American poetry, a VHS recording of Simon Pettet and Bob Rodenthal speaking at Brooklyn College for the "Living Poetry" series in Spring 1988, and a publisher's promotional booklet.

 Abstract:  Henry Clinton Forbes, 1833-1903, was a poet, teacher, farmer and colonel in the 7th Illinois Cavalry, U.S. Volunteers, 1862-1865. Four volumes in one, 557 pages, of holographic poems by Henry C. Forbes. Written in ink, they are noted as being in final revised form. In the prologue to Volume 1, and in the dedication to Volume 4, he explains his motivations for writing poetry. Appended typescript copies by his son, Robert Forbes, include letters, biographical material, and his father's account of Grierson's Calvary Raid in Vicksburg, 1863.

It is written in ink, with Blunden's edits, signature, and notation that it is for Harold Kamp. Also included are two signed letters to Kamp, from Blunden, dated 1930.

 Abstract:  Black Sparrow Press was a small independent publishing house focused on avant-garde literature. Produced by John and Barbara Martin, with the help of typographer and printer Graham Mackintosh, the Press was responsible for drawing attention to Charles Bukowski and his literary work. Each published title includes correspondence from authors, layout matter and artwork, ephemera, photographs, manuscripts, proofs, and first editions. Black Sparrow Press published a number of American and English authors including Diane Wakoski, Joyce Carol Oates, Robert Creeley, Charles Olson, John Fante, Gerard Malanga, Wanda Coleman, and acquired publication rights for Wyndham Lewis and D. H. Lawrence.
