as a teacher. Kinsey was born in Flagstaff in 1891. She attended Emerson High School and
graduated from the Northern Arizona Normal School in 1912. She earned both a BA and an
MA from the University of Arizona, Tucson. Her teaching career spanned 47 years with the
Flagstaff, Arizona school system. In 1932 she became principal of her high school alma
mater, and in 1957 saw a local school named after her.
