| Date(s): | 2014 | ||
| Abstract: | Archaeological Data Recovery was conducted by WestLand Resources, Inc. in preparation for the development of a new proving ground near ASARCO's Mission Complex in Pima County, Arizona. The proving ground is located just south of Mineral Hill and east of Mission Road in the Pima Mining District. The project area was surveyed for cultural resources in2012 as part of a larger block survey. During this survey, a previously identified mining site (AZ DD:4:269[ASM]) was documented and its boundaries expanded significantly from its previous recording. The site has been recommended as eligible for the NRHP. A portion of AZ DD:4:269(ASM) is located in the project area, specifically 2 artifact concentrations containing domestic refuse and building debris. | ||
