 Abstract:  Consists of the Vorsila L. Bohrer Papers including professional files documenting her career as a noted ethnobotanist specializing in the cultures of the American Southwest. Among these are research papers and field notes from the many archaeological sites she studied including Salmon Ruins, Snaketown, and Point of Pines. Diaries, correspondence, and photographs provide biographical materials from her childhood through late career. Of special note are the letters to and from colleagues who shaped the ethnobotany field from the 1950s to the 1990s.

 Abstract:  The Whiting Collection consists of over 55,000 pages of field notes and papers, preserved in 217 binders, along with some recordings. These binders are organized into the following categories: Anthropology, Botany, Santa Curz, Dartmouth, Hopi, Navajo and Apache, Southwest, Taos and New Mexico, Havasupai, and Whiting-Personal. The bulk of the collection was amassed by the late A.F. Whiting over his forty-five year career in anthropology, ethnobiology, and linguistics.

 Abstract:  One of three extant copies of a seven-page typescript report. It describes the covered bridge at French's Mill, N.Y., which was built in 1866. Contains eight mounted and labeled photographs; they depict different views and construction aspects of the bridge, both before and after the roof and side covering was removed. Blueprints drawn by Paulsen, letters, and a newspaper clipping are located in a back pocket.
