This collection contains materials relating to Don Alonzo Sanford, a prominent resident of Territorial Arizona who was a Patagonia cattle/ sheep rancher and Tucson politician, as well as a successful Washington, D.C. businessman. This collection is comprised of correspondence, documents, deeds, diaries/ledgers and photographs. The bulk of the material relates to Sanford's Arizona ranch as well as his varied business interests in both Tucson and Washington, D.C. The collection also contains legal records relating to the San Jose de Sonoita land grant. Also included are various maps, blueprints, postcards and negatives. | ||
