relating to a dispute between Rainer W. G. Gruessner MD and the University of Arizona
College of Medicine - Tucson, Arizona Board of Regents, University of Arizona Health
Network, University Physicians Healthcare. Dr. Gruessner was, at the time, the head of UA
College of Medicine Department of Surgery. One of the other players in this dispute was the
then dean of the UA College of Medicine - Tucson, Steve Goldschmid MD. What makes this
dispute particularly interesting is that the UA College of Medicine in its infancy also
endured an intense and lengthy controversy between its founding dean, Merlin K. DuVal MD,
and its first head of the Department of Surgery, Erle E. Peacock, Jr., MD. | | | Repository: | University of Arizona Libraries, Special Collections | | | Subjects: | Medical colleges | Medical colleges -- Faculty | Medical education -- Arizona | | | Similar Items: | Find Similar Guides |
