 Abstract:  The John J. Rhodes Papers consist of correspondence, reports, financial and travel records, and printed matter documenting Rhodes' Congressional career from 1953 to 1983. Significant portions of the collection show the Central Arizona Project, issues regarding Native Americans, campaign activities, legislation that Rhodes sponsored, water, energy policy, Watergate, and Barry Goldwater's presidential campaign. The collection has been divided into eighteen series. The first fifteen series house materials created in the Congress held between 1953 and 1983. The final three series are Series XVI: Campaign Files, Series XVII: Central Arizona Project, and Series XVIII: Miscellaneous Files.

 Abstract:  This collection consists of research materials relating to Albert E. Ward's archeological work in New Mexico. A majority of the collection references "Site 48," a ruin that Ward excavated in New Mexico. Site 48's authenticity was later called into question, leading to several legal battles in which Ward participated, claiming that the site was authentic and his evidence was proof of a Spanish-Indian residential fort. Materials include correspondence, maps, reports, notes, and research files.
