deeds, diaries/ledgers and photographs. The bulk of the material relates to Sanford's
Arizona ranch as well as his varied business interests in both Tucson and Washington,
D.C. The collection also contains legal records relating to the San Jose de Sonoita land
grant. and began raising sheep at Uña de Gato Creek. He and Delano then became partners in a large-scale cattle enterprise, also known as the D. & D.
Ranch Co., at Johnson's Mesa. Dwyer sold out to become involved in real estate, in 1892. Three recording books containing livestock branding
records and accounts of the operation and maintenance of the ranch in Otero, Colfax County, New Mexico. Some may also apply to Dwyer's
