Abstract: | George Blier was a histotechnologist who was stationed at the U.S. Army 361st Station Hospital in Toyko, Japan from about 1947-1948. There he established and ran what was at the time the largest medical laboratory in the Far East. Returning to the United States he worked as a histotechnologist in various locations. He was a founding member of the National Society for Histotechnology. The collection contains laboratory procedures manuals dating from his time in Tokyo at the 361st Station Hospital (1947-1948) and also some papers papers relating to the National Society for Histotechnology (mainly 1977-1978). | ||
