 Abstract:  Holograph manuscript, in pencil, of the short story, Courage. It consists of eight leaves and contains McCutcheon's edits. The story concerns a wounded World War I soldier recalling his battle experiences, while recuperating in a French military hospital. The last page is signed and dated, December 23, 1917; however, a note at the beginning of the story says it was started December 20, 1916 and completed December 22. A typescript of the original story is included.

 Abstract:  Holograph notebook with twelve formulas for crafts and decorative artwork using textiles, paper, photographs, metals, and glass. Notebook is signed, and includes a place and date: "Antón, noviembre de 1916." In addition to the directions for each formula are color mixtures, lists of materials used, and their total cost. Illustrated with a few small explanatory drawings. Formulas include those for incrusting and engraving glass; illuminating photographic portraits; painting on velvet, corduroy, and satin; making pictures of bronze; and constructing fruits and flowers.
