Fitzpatrick of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Reg Manning of the Phoenix Republic and Gazette, George T. Maxwell of the Wilmington, Delaware Journal, and William H. Summers of the Cleveland News. Original drawings of political cartoons. Some are inscribed to the University of Arizona, Esther Payne, or William Frederic Stevens. Many cartoons relate to the New Deal, political parties, and national and world events.

Collection includes a ledger, cash book, invoice book, lettercopy book, legal documents, photographs, newspapers, and miscellaneous personal materials. Chiefly business records of a general merchandise store in Hermosillo, 1884-1891, and legal documents from Arizpe, Sonora, 1847-1851. Family papers include correspondence, awards and medals, and financial papers.

 Abstract:  The holographic text of a speech given by Bryant in January 1874 to the Burns Association of Brooklyn. Written in ink, it contains his edits. He discusses the genius of the Scottish poet, Robert Burns, and compares him to the English poet Samuel Butler. A typed transcription of the speech is included.

 Abstract:  The John P. Clum collection is divided into two subgroups: records of Clum's tenure at the San Carlos Apache Indian Agency, 1874-1878, and documents relating to his career, 1880-1917 chronological arrangement. This collection includes, photocopies of San Carlos Indian Agency reports, abstracts of disbursements, vouchers, accounts current, and auditor's reports pertaining to Clum's work at the Agency from 1874-1878. Also information and correspondence regarding his employment from 1880-1917 in the War Dept. and the Post Office Dept., as well as his lecture tours for the Southern Pacific Railroad.
