Date(s): | 1885-1982. | ||
Abstract: | The Lauzon family collection consists of a variety of historic documents and photographs (see series 10 for a description of the photograph component) that describe and depict the family's early life in northern Arizona, primarily at the Grand Canyon, from the early 1900s into the 1980s. The papers were created primarily by Hubert "Bert" Lauzon. They describe his work as rancher, miner, tourist guide, caretaker for the Bright Angel Trail and Grand Canyon National Park Ranger. The collection includes material about the Lauzon Family and their continued interest in mining and ranching after Bert's death in 1951. This later material was created by Bert's son, Hubert F. Lauzon. | ||
