historian Otis "Dock" Marston, oral history interviews with other river runners, and
moving images and photographs documenting Anderson's own river trips on the Colorado as

records and materials on subjects of interest. The business records are value to those
who are interested in the history of Kolb's struggle with the National Park Service and
the Fred Harvey Corporation. The correspondence sheds light on personal relations within
the family, friendships, working relationships, and again, various altercations with
other business and institutional interests. All the manuscript materials which are not

documents and photographs (see series 10 for a description of the photograph component)
that describe and depict the family's early life in northern Arizona, primarily at the
Grand Canyon, from the early 1900s into the 1980s. The papers were created primarily by
Hubert "Bert" Lauzon. They describe his work as rancher, miner, tourist guide, caretaker
for the Bright Angel Trail and Grand Canyon National Park Ranger. The collection
includes material about the Lauzon Family and their continued interest in mining and
ranching after Bert's death in 1951. This later material was created by Bert's son,
